Fear of Flying or Aerophobia
Fear of Flying
Fish gotta swim,
And birds gotta fly.
Not me.
I mean, not I.
Let others fly.
Here, there and all around.
I want to feel the earth under me
And my little feet on the ground.
Flying is not natural
Way up in the air.
I prefer walking
E v e r y w h e r e.
If I trip over my feet while strolling
I just pick myself up bye and bye.
But if something happens while flying,
Oh my God, I could just die!
So I plan
To stay on land.
Let others fly,
Way up in the sky.
See that butterfly
Up so high
Flitting from rose to rose.
I promise thee
You will never get me
Up in one of those!
Signed . . . Cathy Caterpillar
P. S. If I have to hitch a ride
To travel through mist and fog,
I’ll do what my friend the flea does,
I’ll hop on and just take a dog.

It is said that as you get older, you get wiser. Have you heard that, too? The only wiser I get has a ‘Bud’ in front of it. But I have learned of multiple old age benefits over time, and I am delighted to share them with you – in rhyme.
