One Question Personality Test
83One Question Personality Test
Would you like to know more about yourself and how you are perceived by others? If you don’t, you should. Why? Because each one of us may be two people: the person we think we are and the person other people think we are.
Wasn’t it Robert Burns, the famous Scottish poet, who said way back in the 1700s – no, although I’m older than dirt, he was not a personal acquaintance – ““O wad some power the giftie gie us, To see oursel's as ithers see us!”
Here is a very simple one-question personality test. All you have to do is answer one simple question. Are you up for it? Okay. This is the scenario:
You have your entire day tomorrow free of any obligation whatsoever. You don’t have to go to work. You don’t have to pick the kids up at school. You don’t have to walk the dog. You don't have to pick up your mother-in-law at the airport. (Just kidding). You don’t have any responsibilities whatsoever.
The Question: What would you like to do most tomorrow?
Below is a list of sixteen choices. Pick the one you would most like to do more than any other. Just one.
Don’t agonize over it. Just choose the one phrase that describes what you would like to do the most tomorrow. Write it down.

Unbelievable, my choice turned out to be pretty accurate - astonishing! What brilliant research you have done here to produce such an outstanding hub. Voting up and pressing your buttons.
Loved this Hub - great job. The result was pretty accurate too. Rated up and sharing on Facebook.
OMG! I am sitting here with my mouth wide open, LOL. This is amazing, my choice described me to a "t". I am definitely the "IDEALIST / SEARCHER", even being impatient with routine details. I was thinking before choosing, that the choices would be influenced by what I am experiencing at the moment such as my friends living in other States, so was not expecting astonishing results.
Vote up, awesome, shared in Facebook!
I'm not telling. Lynda
I knew it!
Well, I chose the "artist" profile, and must admit much of it fits. These tests are always fun, a bit like horoscopes, general enough to cover a wide range of attributes and flattering enough to avoid too much scrutiny.
So come on, spill it...what was your choice?
CP
Simply awesome, brilliant! I just shared this hub (Thanks VioletSun) and invited my FB friends to answer the question :)
My answer it`s me! How fun is that!? :D
@ Christopher - Head out for the country ;)
Very accurate personality test. But why the Schwarzeneggers for my pick - Contemplate your perfect home? While I have always admired Arnold, and even met him once, I don't think too highly of Maria. Jealous maybe.
Interesting to see that even Robert Burns plagiarized :-)))
At first I was a bit "miffed" at how my choice was interpreted, but then I realised that my annoyance was a sign of it's accuracy.
Guess which one it was.
Interesting hub drbj but I wouldn't have chosen any of those thing - which could probably explain a lot LOL! What type of person are you if you would choose to walk along a beach and then find a spot to sunbathe and read a book?
You told me not to agonize too much over it so my instinct went with have a conversation with a friend. Very flattering thanks drbj!!! All I need to do know is work out which country to be the president of and what crown and earrings to wear.
Good fun and pretty accurate as well!
That was really accurate. A very good hub. I chose conversation with a friend.
Well done. In fact, we are at least tweo people. We project an image of who we are to others but we also know who we really are. Something to think about. I have many times.
Up, useful and awesome.
The Frog
This was fun and somewhat accurate. I may have a multiple personality!
A lot of hard work has paid off - you've given us a clever, entertaining and obviously accurate tool to give us more insight into ourselves. Needless to say, I found my choice yielded uncanny results. Great hub, take a bow!
oops I have to say that my choice is the complete opposite of my character, couldn't have been more like chalk and cheese, but great hub and enjoyed the finding out. x
Drbj! You are amazing! You just are. I love yout tsets:)! Lol!
What an intriguing hub, drbj! The one I chose was partially correct, but I'm actually an amalgam of three of the choices! I took the MBTI years ago (plus a number of other personality-type tests)and learned essentially the same things about myself. Great hub! Jaye
Drbj - I just realized I didn't say, I picked imagining how I could make the world a better place. (but I just got home from my volunteer job)! Now which one would you choose? Of course, you don't have to answer, but I'm curious about that one!
As always an interesting hub from you! At first I was a bit sceptic about where this was going since self tests usually end up fitting almost everyone no matter how you answer the questions. But this test was different and so descriptive on those different personalities! I only have one problem with this article; I couldn’t choose a choice; do you have any personality description for such a person:) No, joking aside, I did choose two choices; imagine how the world could be improved and contemplating your perfect home. Those two described me perfectly, so I guess I am two personalities!
Thanks for a very enjoyable read of a wonderful hub! Voted up!
Tina
Oh, my. I thought I was coming to this latest hub of yours to read it, but somehow I landed on your profile page. Since it was in the form of an interview (possibly a personality test)- I accepted it and read the interview. Just one shock. I misread this question - "Q – Which did/do you enjoy the most?" - and read an "L" into that "did/do" combo. It really shook me up! My annual eye examination is obviously TOO long past due. . . .!! (or something is!) YIKES!!
Now to see if I can do better reading the actual hub! I'll be back after I have read it!
aha - several of the choices interested me greatly and comprise much that I do in my relatively "free time", but this was to be a totally spontaneous WISH-choice for self-gratification when there are no other demands or pre-commitments. And my choice told on me. ARTIST. :-) I could revel in art, though I'd have to return to other things. I'm not exactly a split personality - but I am almost equally right and left brained. So I have to tend to both.
Clever test!! Thanks, DRBJ. That's why YOU are the DR.!!
This was so much fun!! Hehee!!!!
This was fun!!! The great thing is, nobody can flunk this test.
Okay, hon-I'm on my way to the country to see my favorite therapist. I do need fixin', and he's the best:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYLMTvxOaeE
I guess then, I'll go home...
I was honest..Didn't think about it..I chose go dancing and i hope your analysis is correct...but of course i know it is...You being a Dr. Yea! I'm a fun loving Gal..I like that...This was fun...Seeing Elvis made my heart sing, 'Love me Tender' I wanted to say that i chose making the world a better place...but you said to be honest...
Cheers
A truly fun and interesting hub. I liked all the quotes from the celebs and the prayers! Even though mine didn't fit, I can see how others would!
This was fun!
I couldn't find writing and reading books on there, so I settled for dancing and going to a party. Of course, it would have to be a subdued party of my friends who aren't very party-like- so that didn't really work either.
I would have picked contemplating how to make the world a better place, but I would be done after an hour, and it said I had ALL DAY!! I would hate to find myself staring at a blank wall for the other 23 hours.
Charades seemed like fun, but it would really depend on who wanted to play with me.. and would we be playing the whole time, or could we take an hour to contemplate how to make the world a better place?
I think this means I'm a psychotic person who can't make up their mind..... or I'm... no, it's the psychotic thing.
My poor child....
SueRoy, you think I'm the one that's certifiable? Whoa! Your poor child.
I am going to the country soon to our weekender, but i'd say i fitted well with most of the traits described. I don't mind you psychoanalyzing my soul as long as you don't empty my bank account with the info. Cheers.
That was fun and the traits were fairly close but the prayer was perfect. Thanks.
HI, I almost chose "talk to a friend" , then saw "Head out for the country", Nice to know I'm more adventurous than I thought!!
This was SO cool! And, frighteningly accurate! :) Great job. Voted up, of course.
What a great hub. Though I couldn't make a definate choice I did find that the ones I contimplated actually fit my personality well. Voted up and useful.
I couldn't decide between the conversation with a friend or heading out to the country. Then I realized I wouldn't want to head out to the country unless my husband went with me (and he chose that one), so I went with the conversation with a friend, since he's my best friend. Turns out it was spot-on - for both of us. He's the Artisan, and I'm the Idealist! :-)
Maybe if my home wasn't always in an uproar my answer would be different, but for now I choose "Have a conversation with a friend" it was a toss up between that and "Quietly speculate on practical ideas". Since I rarely get to have a good conversation that improves my self worth ("Mom, why didn't you do.." does not promote self worth!), I would now choose that. I have limited my close friends, and of those I have chosen are only uplifting people (as I am). But I do so want a little quiet in my life as well!
What I did choose fit me to a T... If you only knew how many projects I have laying around that I haven't fini....
Thumbs up and shared!!
Drbj - I was surprised! I used to try to write poetry a lot when I was younger. I should try again:) thank you for reminding me of that! You amazing deviously accurate MPD persons! Lol!
Not to be a pest, drbj, but did you like the link? ;)
lorlie6 - you better stop being a pest or I'll bury you alive in a box! ROFLPP (rolling on the floor laughing peeing pants)
HAHAHA-thanks, Austinstar!
Austin, you better check on that incontinence issue! LOL And lorlie, pester all you want. :P
Maybe because I am?
Funny, drbj - I met my husband while I was living in Jacksonville, FL...lol - I spent a year there. :) I'm a midwest girl at heart, though, so we moved here. Detroit wasn't exactly the best place in the world to start anew at the time. :)
And, it's a pleasure to meet you as well.
drbj - I can't help it, Austin has begun to corrupt me...lol
:)
drbj, I'm not a grandmother, hope you don't have me confused with someone else. Otherwise, all of the above applies.
Did I corrupt you Mo? I thought it was the other way around!
P.S. I generally go commando - no knickers please!
Shhhh....Austin, it's supposed to look like I'm the innocent one! :P
Ha! No, unfortunately "with money" is not a term I would use to describe myself! Actually, I don't really know what the "wm" stands for. It keeps changing ... Right now I think it's just the repetition of the initials from "working mom," but we'll see how it evolves.
Hmm ... Pig Personality Test. That does sound interesting!
I still can't make up my mind whether to 'imagine how the World could be improved', or 'organise a party', so maybe I'll just sit and read a book about the Art o Decision Making. But I'm not sure about that, and I can't decide why - so maybe I won't do that either...
Did you say one question?
Holy Cow - this is pretty darn close. Both James Dean and Katherine Hepburn are two of my favorite actors. But, oh oh oh, how I wanted to be in the same classification as Johnny Depp. Urrrrgh. And my personality is an exact duplicate for Organizing a Class Re-union. And yet, I really dislike organizing anything. :)vocalcoach
I'm surprised at how accurate this was. I was somewhat disappointed I wasn't in the company of any exciting movie stars, but how can I possibly complain about George Washington. Thank you for the excellent hub.
Without hesitation I chose , Quietly speculate about practical ideas. Yup that's me... Very cool hub!
You always have the most interesting Hubs of all. This is truly fascinating. I chose "Discuss the way things work in the world." THE INVENTOR. Frequent Career Choices: Leadership ... Business ... Government ... Entrepreneur ... Journalism ... Consulting.
I suppose this is true since I have held positions in all six of those—except government. :D
Thank you for the journey. I can dig it!
Spot on drbj!!! An interesting hub by an equally interesting man.....
I don't like any of the choices. First, suspecting that might be the case, I figured out what I'd REALLY like to do with a total "Free Day". Then since none of the 16 choices fit, I read a couple that PARTIALLY fit--and yes, the descriptions partifally fit me as well.
Okay, now to go check out Genghis Khan.
Note: Mrs. J.B. recommended I actually read some of your stuff. Shame on her; I'm already about half hooked!
Voted Up and Across.
COOL- Not only was that fun, but it was educational too.
Drbj, this was very interesting! And too close for comfort hahaha. (Just kidding. I'm totally cool with who I am. It's those other people who have issues hehehe) I seem to fit the Artisan. Heading out is definitely what I would do, camera in hand. And the rest of it is also true. Heck, I even move my furniture around on dismal days just to affect change! This was fun :)
At the risk of perplexing future archeologists even more... ROFLMAO!
Drbj, I had trouble making the choice of *what to do tomorrow*...which is revealing in itself, lol. I just couldn't make that snap decision and had to choose TWO options...so I'm a cross between inventor and journalist.
Obviously I cheat at personality tests!
I enjoyed this hub, thanks
I don't know how accurate this test is drbj; at least it proved to be way off the mark for me! I'm no Schwartzenegger :) Fun to play anyway. Cheers. Wonder why there isn't a choice for writing?
...actually it took me so dang long to scroll down to the bottom of this screen that I went through several mutiple personalities myself - and of course if anyone here at the Hub has multiple personalities - lol - then it's the epi-man - lol - but you always have multiple world famous hubs - and for good reason!
You'd need to be an ophthalmologist to fully diagnose my malady. I can barely see. ;-> See? hehe. As to forgetting, - now, that is right up my alley. Maybe you're a geriatrician? tee hee. . . .
This is amazing! Great Hub
I was a head out to the country guy. But I don't mind being lumped in with James Dean.
It was pretty much on target, I am still amazed!
Loved it! I have taken several personality tests over the years and never did this one til just now. It fit me perfectly, thanks!
hahahaha! Good joke, DRBJ!
Simply scrolling down the list, I choose Art to start off with not even finishing the list yet. Mainly because if I had no obligations and no interuptions, I would sit down and write all day long. But, after glancing and making a decision without thinking much... going with my gut... my actual decision (after looking at them all) was to leave the country. Mainly because if nothing was in my way - I would love to travel. My lifestyle makes that nearly impossible to get out of the country. It is my adventurous side coming out. Even though I don't like to be overly dangerous. I work myself up way too much! Great hub! Interesting comparison on how things can tell your personality!
Actually, I change my mind... I just gave my husband the test and as I read through all the answers, I realized that I would rather play charades. The reason I probably overlooked it the first time is because I have never played charades... but I do like board games and family game nights. My husband was the Artisan - and that described him to a T - wasn't as much a good description of me. However, when I realized my simple mistake of overlooking things.... Charades fits me perfectly... lol
Overall, great hub... even if I have to weigh everything over and over and over again. LOL Wait - isn't that like the Journalist!
I will definately have to check that one out!
Hi, drbj - haha, I read some of the comments and had to laugh when I read CMHypno's - just what I was going to say. So, if I can't go to the beach, I'd be in an art class. And it does kind of fit. Maybe I'll be a preacher in my next incarnation.
This is a well written hub – interesting analysis. This is a nice and fun way to analyze a personality. I think you need to continue writing a book and not just an article. Thumbs up!
This is a funny and interesting hub. I choosed go dancing for I love to dance and then I found out that I have 2 personalities. I usually want to be alone. Dancing without company is not fun. Almost accurate test for me. Voted Up!
This is so much fun. I chose participate in an Art class. Fits me to a T with the description... I loved this hub!
I'm sending this to my husband to see if it will help us with perspective. :)
Since 'Work on an unfinished project' wasn't on the list I chose 'Have a conversation with a friend'. Imagine my surprise when I read the prayer! As always, thank you for the fun and wisdom.
I love this personality test. I learn much from all the famous people. I know the can be like that because they have good personality. Especially for public figure, right! You got my vote and I make it double with my thumbs up!
Your best friend, Prasetio
i liked it. in fact i am loving your writings
I've taken the Meyers Briggs a few times now and I always come up as the searcher/idealist.... crazy that choosing just ONE thing to do would give me the same result as the really, really long test they have!
Why a preacher? Cause that's what the test indicated. A sort of preacher who paints and works in the fields. Sounds so 19th century....
No, these are the suggestions of this hub. Not the 19th century part, that comes from watching too much Lark Rise to Candleford.
Very neat hub! I was between the options "have a conversation with a friend" Idealist/Searcher and "go dancing or go to a party" Entertainer/Performer. Both of these choices had characteristics that resembled my personality. I enjoyed this one!
Hi again( drbj)you have so much neat STUFF on your site.I chose the DANCE.The choices could be situational.Example--Had to opt for the trip out of town because while looking at houses my dog made a mess" and the house belonged to the terminator. Thanks again for the listen,ED.
Hi again(drbj)Thanks again for another very nice come back.Im really having a good time on your site.In fact I,find it to be extreamly entertaining and (BONUS) THERIPUDIC.Well thanks again and stay happy.ED
(drbj)Allways Good to hear from you. I'll gladly pay you tuesday for a hamberger today. As for loose change===In school many teachers used that term to address questions about my I.Q. Well thanks again for the jingle.STAY HAPPY.ED.
play charades-it was so accurate and weird that you can figure someone by one question!
Dr BJ,
I was TORN between a conversation with a friend and heading to the country. So, I surmised I could be persuasive enough to have both and take the friend to the country and have a conversation while we found something exciting to get into. (Grin!)
Worked for me!
I've decided in personality tests, the shorter the better, and in the short of it, HOPEFULLY they'll have accomodating choices. They make soooo much more sense than the ones that request to select the one that comes closest to fitting the test taker, and then don't offer anything that remotely FITS the test taker.
Those drive me bats. This one made me grin.
Since I'm a Gemini, I think it's my birth right that should allow me to have taken two and blended them into one. Hope that doesn't reflect that I'm greedy, because I'm usually willing to share. :)
