Simple Symbol Personality Test
85Simple Symbol Personality Test – Part One
Now that you have examined your personality by taking (a) the Pig Personality Test , (b) the Celebrity Personality Test , and (c) the One-Question Personality Test , it’s time to take a look at the Simple Symbol Personality Test.
Here is what you need to do for this very simple test. Find a sheet of blank paper and draw a picture or a design of anything you wish using each symbol shown below: the TRIANGLE, the SQUARE, the CIRCLE, and the SQUIGGLE. Draw each of the symbols one time and also draw one symbol two times.
Is that clear? You say you are a graduate student? Okay, then I’ll repeat the instructions (joke). Your picture or design will have each of the four symbols drawn only one time. But one symbol will be drawn twice. Do not add any other details.
Note: Your drawing may include the symbols in any size you desire - smaller, larger, whatever. And threre is no significance to the color background for the Squiggle. (I could not find a 'squiggle' illustration with a white background.)
Now examine the picture or design you drew. Is each of the four symbols drawn at least one time? Is only one of the symbols drawn two times? Excellent! Give yourself an A+ for following directions.
Here are the descriptions for each symbol that you have drawn two times - that is the symbol describing your dominant personality.
This personality test is based on a theory that we tend to be attracted to certain shapes and forms based on our personality, our attitudes, our education and the way our brain functions.
• Did you draw one square, one circle, one squiggle and two triangles? Then you are a Triangle.
• Did you draw one triangle, one circle, one squiggle and two squares? Then you are a Square.
• Did you draw one triangle, one square, one squiggle and two circles? Then you are a Circle.
• Did you draw one triangle, one square, one circle and two squiggles? Then – you guessed it – you are a Squiggle.
That was fairly painless. Now let’s look at the symbols you drew two times to learn what they represent.
The Triangle
If the triangle appears two times in your picture or diagram, then you may be a Triangle.
For centuries, the triangle has symbolized leadership. Remember the ancient Egyptians? They buried their pharaohs, their leaders, in pyramids. • You are an OVERSEER, an expediter, a leader, a man or woman of action.
• Your mantra is ‘Get it done.’ You want to make things happen now. You ask others ‘when?’ When will the project be finished? When will the action you requested happen?
• Your watchword is now. Not one day, not some time, not tomorrow, but NOW!
• You are often charismatic, a person who likes to be the boss, who likes to give orders, who likes to be in control.
• You are decisive – you like to make decisions – decisions for yourself and decisions for everyone else.

• You see yourself as a Triangle. Others may not see you the same way.
• You may be a fan of someone like Bill Gates.
• You enjoy collecting data and information to enter into the database but others may see you as having a compulsive attention to detail.

NOTE: If you have any questions and would like to call me, you need to use the proper extensions: If you have OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), please press 1, as many times as you desire. If you are co-dependent, please ask someone to press 2 for you.
If you have multiple personality disorder, please press 3, 4, 5, and 6.
If you are paranoid or delusional, I know who you are and what you want. Just stay on the line so I can trace the call.

If you are depressed, it doesn't matter which number you press; no one will answer.
- Droodle Creativity Test
Are you a personality test addict? Me, too. I like the short, sweet, funny tests best. Here is my test featuring the 'Droodles' of Roger Price. - How to Write an Advice Column
Most of us love to give advice. It is one of those commodities rarely in short supply. Like political speeches. Learn how to write an Advice Column.
To sum it all up in a very general way:
Triangles are leaders.
Squares are organizers.
Circles are harmonizers.
Spirals are innovators.
IMPORTANT! You have probably already figured out that we all have all the four styles within us. But one style tends to be dominant.
So ... which is your dominant style?

I sooo love your hubs drbj! I agree, I am a pure unadulterated..... triangle :)
UP/useful
I'm a troublemaking squiggle! And a scientist. Mwhaahaahaa
OK, this was fun. I guess I am a circle but I mainly used two circle as they fit neatly in a square as I drew a house. I think this mean I am nuts! :-)) Anyway, fun and voted up, up, up!
What an interesting test! It says I am a circle, so I have to throw a tantrum. I am in fact a triangle, a square, a circle and a spiral. Call me an octagon... or just a plain and simple star... :)))). Drbj, just know you've got a big fan in me.
Does it matter that I'm artistically challenged? OK, so I'm a circle. Not bad - except for those pitfalls. Luckily, I was raised amongst straightforward people and never even knew about manipulation. And after I did see it in action, I knew it wasn't for me - like lying, manipulating seems like too much work!
I always knew I was angular and now I understand why; opinionated yes, assertive for sure, but not much of a leader, although certainly not a follower.
This was fun even if for me it is only half true. By the time you are done “putting us to the test” we may discover who we really are which it may not be all that flattering :-)))
I draw a pig with two pointy ears and that makes me a leader?!! :D
Great hub! I found that I am an original, organized, kind and caring, leader that can't pick just one symbol. I had a great laugh and voted it up!
Wow, I am a triangle, who would have known. I like Feline Prophet am a leader!!! Whooo. :)
Fun hub!
That was a lot of fun. I was going to pick the squiggle but I didn't want to get caught, so I picked the Triangle. My mother is a circle and there is no doubt about it. Thanks.
Sounds interesting but I haven't done it yet. I'll do it when I am along and concnetrate on it.
I love this. I am a Triangle... This was fabulous!
...your hub subjects are always a wealth of fun, amusement, and enlightenment - you rock my world big time and your comments to me are so incredibly legendary that even the LOUVRE can't contain them .....
I seem to be all of them... Lynda
Hi :)
These are always fun :)
I was a triangle ~ but I'm not sure that I am a triangle!
This was quite entertaining. I guess I'm sguiggly. I will have to go check out some of your other tests. Thanks for a few minutes of fun!
Sometimes the simplest things can tell us things about ourselves that we may, or may not, want to know.
Good Hub.
The Frog
Drbj - These are just so much fun! I am very surprised that I am a square! I shouldn't be though - I love the hokey pokey - I mean that is what it's all about! I also let the Magic 8 Ball make all my decisions for me. haha!
I have always thought of myself as very goal oriented - I do love rules and I think I love the English language because it's perfectly set up with rules and guidelines so everyone can do it right! LOL
Wow - you nailed it on the head... I was the circle. Let me tell you, I never told anybody that my favorite dance was the Electric Slide. And, I was always the outfielder in softball. I am so impressed!
I think I'm a psycho-ceramic, sex-crazed alcoholic, who keeps changing his mind about squiggles, circles, squares and triangles. On the other hand, it might just be on the other foot.
Yes that was very good, and really enjoyable. One of your very best Hubs.
After all that I turned out to be a triangle. That explains how I always liked Margaret Thatcher.
This is really surprising that it works! How fun! I put two circles under the box so it could roll and added the triangle in front to attach the squiggly to so it could be pulled, like a wagon or toy. I must want to go play, eh?
Do we even have to wonder what I am said the squiggle? Gosh dang BJ, you think of the funniest things - love the OCD part of the Squiggle banter. And most definitely my heroine would be Erma Bombeck - what a lady....
drbj, I know that you are one educated woman, and i believe you, but i feel you have erred in this scientific assessment. Let me explain. I was led to draw two triangles, eventhough i wanted to draw a squiggley, now i find that i could be like Donald Trunp, have mercy!! Hee. I had a ball and just think, i'm a leader, who would ever ' thunk it?
Cheers
Looks like I am a triangle.
drbj, I love these tests..but y'know I did it again...cheated,but unconsciously this time. I accidentally drew two circles and two squiggles.
I was drawing a human figure and deliberately used two circles for eyes as I knew we could only draw one shape twice but then I ended up inadvertantly drawing two squiggle legs. Either this means I'm a circle with secondary squiggle tendencies...or I simply have an inability to concentrate.
haha..I had to laugh though because one of my favourite songs IS "Accentuate the positive"..Love that tune!
So many of the traits fit me to a tee, but the careers, yuck, never. I was a square and it's true, I am a perfectionist, organizer, procrastinator, but never in a million years would I have a numbers type job. I am more of a creative person! I found this experiment fun and interesting DRBJ
Hmmm, the questions were a bit difficult to answer definitively so I can only imagine what shape I am truly in - However the closet that I could come was a triangle...? Very interesting, thought provoking hub of course! I know your place is never boring drbj! Good Job!
Hi drbj, I knew you were a square peg in a round hole and suspected that i might be too. Being a squiggler tends to prove the point, but are you a squiggler too? I always use different dance steps to the instructor and my long suffering wife. I'm crazy when i'm sober, so why bother drinking. I played comp' badminton for ten years and still play a team sport.( Soccer.) The pitfalls seem rather accurate too. This hub is a bit scary, but entertaining too. Cheers
Just to show you how useless I am, you lost me at:
"Your picture or design will have each of the four symbols drawn only one time. But one symbol will be drawn twice. Do not add any other details."
Need I say more? ;-))))
Well, I fit the circle to a "T". I will even admit to being a manipulator for a period of time - at least that is what my ex-husband said. . .notice that he is an X :)
This was so much fun, useful, awesome and beautiful, it certainly deserved my vote up. Really, quite amazing - especially when the "electric slide" was included.
As with all of your remarkable hubs, I enjoyed this immensely and will bookmark it. I absolutely love you!!!
Oh, gosh - there I go, being a circle again.
Hmmm. I tried to draw two triangles and two squiggly lines, so I crossed out one of the squiggly lines. Then I realized by reading that I'm much more of a squiggle. My mother is the triangle - just goes to show how enmeshed we are and how I'd sacrifice myself to save her. Yes, I suppose I do need therapy!
My husband, however, is a circle - all the way through. That's another one of these tests that says he's an optimist when he's one of the most negative people I know! Maybe it's just latent optimism ...
I would rather be a squiggle - it looks like more fun! It seems to me that the square is the one who organizes the party - the squiggle is the one who is the life of the party! Haha!
One of my favorite tunes - all time - is Tan Shoes and Pink Shoelaces! Do you know of it?
Well it's like this. I love squigglies, but when i attempted to draw one, my hand refused, then my brain said, " You wanna be a leader, don't you?" My ego took over. That's my story and i'm stick'n to it. Hee
I think I'm a Squiggle trying to turn into a circle. Maybe I'm a Squiggle trying to penetrate a circle which could mean I really am crazed by sex and booze. Your tests are always fun, but I get weird results. Maybe i need help :O
LOL Drbj - you are a wizard of some sort. My mother IS a triangle.
I however, will go to bed with a smile on my face because I get to be a squiggle! It's almost as good as the day the romper room lady saw me through the big magnifying glass! Haha!
Thank you for a fun, creative and very interesting hub! I'm looking forward to reading your other personality test hubs.
This was great fun! I'm a squiggle!! LOLLL
Thanks I am going to try this.
I Like your hub, thank you for sharing this info, gave some fun time trying to do the challenges. Now I can go back to doing my work again. The wonders of working from home.
All the best
I like circles as a shape so the test says I am one! But unfortunately I am not quite as nice as the description of a circle. Or maybe I was when I was younger, but now I am more a square! I suppose it can differs depending of where we are in life since life matters.
Either way, I enjoy your hubs and this test was just as fun. I was on an interview for a job the other day and a consultant was trying to figure out what kind of person I was. He seemed to have a difficult time and so was I! I which I have thought of giving him your excellent personality tests instead. That would have saved him the trouble:)
Thank you Drbj for this brilliant hub, I will bookmark it. Rated up, awesome and more!
Tina
Classy, quality stuff - you raised that bar very high drbj. I'm going to have to limbo under it.
interesting hub and well done -- thanks Looks like I am a squiggle with a tendency to be a triangle too.... maybe I'm a dot!

My friend, you have done a great job here. I love this hub so much. I learn much from you. I really love all description, stunning pictures and video. You make it more educated and entertaining. Well done and you got my vote!
Prasetio
I failed this one...made the wrong choice. I was a circle but I am really not. I am really a squiggle with borders on the circle. I am an in between thing. In some ways, I can identify with all of them but not fully with any of them. I guess you should have had a picture of a "screw" there to cover me! LOL! WB
this hub really gained my attention and i couldnt help reading it. A great and amusing hub. I liked it and really the results were true. it did reflrct my personality(2 circles). Thanks and keep it up
I keep pressing 1 and nothing happens.
Help - I drew a squiggly triangle with rounded corners. I chronically doodle circles that turn into figure eights, and star-shaped squares. I think I'm a cat - oh wait, I am a cat - phew! That's a relief.
Is there any help for me Dr. BJ ?????
interesting test. - It actually is close too. Cool
Hey! Wow! This really makes sense! I was always confused as to which personality type I had, because it seems like I have a mixture of triangle, circle, and squiggle
drbj, What fun to laugh one's way through a learning experience! It's most helpful the way you make it so easy to compare the four categories by looking at specific indicators, such as heroes/heroines, preferred music, and typical mottoes.
Thank you for sharing, etc.,
Derdriu
I'm confoosed!! I drew the colour purpley-green twice :P
That was cool AND so close I had to duck!
This was very interesting. As a psychology major I always love to see new personality tests and things like that. I'm a triangle! You'd think, after 4 years of college and still going, I'd be able to analyze myself without tests haha. I also loved the little note at the end. It made me laugh.
Doc,
Woohooo!!!
I'm a squiggle!!!
Well, that explains all those questions always flying through my head! And, probably why I fume when I ask, "why", and the answer is, "Well, that's the way we've always done it."
I gotta tell you, when I checked the list after the test, I got concerned. I was reading through alllll the other ones, and when I realized squiggles were at the very bottom, I was worried it might be a bad thing.
However, I was much relieved to discover the test just seemed to save the best for last. (Grin!)
I've gotta share this one too! This was so fun!!
femme
Who knew being a square could be so awesome! Thanks for the fun!
DRBJ, your hubs are so well done -- I came looking for your haikus but ended up getting a personality test instead. What does it mean when your doodle forms a saucer and flies away?
I'll be back again to read your other things. Thanks for a good laugh!

Hahahaha this was great fun! A little too true in places though... yikes! I love the notes for the squiggle! That had me on the floor while I was pressing 3, 4, 5 and 6!
p.s. I saw this pop up while writing a hub on codependency :)
